A successful Border 100 attracting a good entry list which is a credit to the organisers. Started from Llanfyllin using some 100 mile of map 125. Top seeds Phil Turner and Wyn Roberts were out early on with engine problems. Merion Evans was always going to be threat in his Mk2 Escort but gearbox failure on the last section said bye bye to him which then left the Golf duo to battle it out to the finish post, which they did and left them 8 seconds apart at the finish. First non local crew finishing 3rd overall were Iwan Prichard and Ceri Hughes in a Mk2 Escort. Well done to Ceri finishing 3rd overall for the second year.
1st Overall - Dude and Gwawr
1st Marsters - Gt and Dale Bowen
1st Expert - Geraint Parkes and Andy Faulkener
1st Semi Expert - Dale Furnis and Russ Woolley
1st Novice - Andrew Smart and Rhys Morgan
Full results can be found on www.rallyroots.com
and lastly WBCC would like to thank all the marshalls.

Iwan Jones, Allen Hart and the Border 100 organising team deserve a round of applause for getting 100 entries for the Border, just goes to show that road rallying is very much alive and as enjoyable as ever.
